Latin based dance rhythms and movements (Merengue, Cumbia, Reggaeton & more) are integrated into tranditional aqua fitness with the Zumba formula and philosophy. It's not a slow or mediocre class for limited populations. Aqua Zumba class is for everyone of all ages, sizes and fitness levels - whether young at heart or young by the numbers! :) This class combines the fun and passion of Zumba with the science and buoyancy of water in a "judgment-free" zone where everyone can wiggle shake and move without feeling self-conscious while getting a "feel-good" challenging workout. Classes & Locations coming soon - August/September.
Zumba Gold
This class is also know as "gentle Zumba" because it is less intense and moves at a slower pace than the regular Zumba Fitness classes. It is second to none as an innovative program designed for the true beginner, active older adult and/or those that are not used to exercising or people who may be limited physically. Zumba Gold may also be just the right pace for those with injuries especially those with knee problems or those who are new to cardio exercise. Everyone will experience the same party atmosphere as a regular Zumba Fitness class while getting a great workout - the same great Latin & Internation dance themes, rhythms & music! In a Zumba Gold class, the instructor may take more time to teach the steps before actually dancing them to the music. Offered in Plano - effective Fall 2010. Offered at McKinney Senior Center - schedule available soon!
